Locally Grown and Milled Flour and Baking Mixes|
We are located 40km West of Thunder Bay, just outside of Kakabeka Falls. We grow 130 acres of wheat, rye, buckwheat and canola. We use a combination of conventional practices and organic practices such as crop rotations and green manuring.
We mill all of the grain we grow in our flour mill, which we constructed in 2008. The mills are pink granite stones, which produce a heartier flour that is richer in flavour and nutrition.
We use only grains grown in Northwestern Ontario. The majority of the grain we use for milling is grown on our farm but we do contract some other growers in the Thunder Bay are.
We are proud to produce a product that is free of additives, preservatives and GMOs.
Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
We grown our grains using a combination of conventional and organic practices and we strive to be as sustainable as possible. We are constantly adapting our practices to better use geological and biological processes.
All of our products are processed in a food-grade facility that is routinely inspected.
